Orange Carrot Recipe

Ingredients: 1 lb carrots washed and peeled, ¾ cup water, ½ tsp grated orange peel, ¾ tsp salt, 1 orange, 2 tsp. margarine, Syrup (cane. Molasses honey or pancake) and saucepan. Directions: Slice carrots lengthwise making sticks or rounds. Boil water and salt in pan. Add carrots and cover. Cook on medium heat until tender. Drain. Meanwhile, grate orange peel and slice orange into bite-sized pieces. Add orange, orange peel, margarine and syrup to taste to carrots and stir gently over low heat until margarine has completely melted. Serve hot. Serves 6
